Web performance and technical SEO

Web performance and technical SEO are the work of making websites and applications fast for users and easy for search engines and AI assistants to crawl, understand and index. Wisalo, a software house based in Curitiba, Brazil, founded in 2019, optimizes Core Web Vitals, rendering, assets and technical structure based on measurement, not assumptions.

Overview

Speed affects how people perceive a brand and whether they complete a purchase, a sign-up or a read. Search engines also take page experience into account, and content that is not rendered in a way the crawler can access simply does not appear in the results.

Our work starts with measurement: field data from real users, lab tests and code bundle analysis. Based on that, we prioritize the highest-impact fixes, such as images, script loading, server-side rendering and caching, and track the indicators after the changes.

Performance is not a one-off project: without follow-up, a fast site becomes slow again with every new library, image or third-party script added. That is why we leave performance budgets defined and automated checks in the pipeline that alert when a change worsens the indicators. We also make sure analytics and marketing scripts respect cookie consent and don't hurt the browsing experience.

Who it is for

  • Corporate and content websites

Companies that depend on organic traffic and want their pages to be found and cited.

  • E-commerce and marketplaces

Stores where every second of waiting can drive the customer away from checkout.

  • React, Next.js and Vue applications

Products built as SPAs that suffer from slow initial load or poor indexing.

  • Marketing and product teams

Teams that need fast pages for campaigns and a solid technical foundation for content SEO.

Problems we solve

  • Failing Core Web Vitals

We tackle the causes of poor LCP, INP and CLS: render-blocking resources, excessive JavaScript and shifting layouts.

  • Pages that don't show up on Google

We fix rendering, canonicals, sitemaps, robots, hreflang and internal links that prevent indexing.

  • Heavy JavaScript

We reduce the bundle with code splitting, lazy loading and removal of unnecessary dependencies.

  • Slow images and media

We apply modern formats, correct sizing and on-demand loading.

  • Content poorly understood by search engines and AI

We structure semantic HTML and structured data (Schema.org) to make clear what each page is about.

What we deliver

  • Performance assessment

A report with measurements, identified causes and a fix plan prioritized by impact.

  • Core Web Vitals optimization

Code and infrastructure fixes to improve loading, interactivity and visual stability.

  • Technical SEO

Per-page rendering strategy, metadata, sitemaps, canonicals, hreflang and structured data.

  • CDN and edge caching

Cache configuration and content delivery close to the user.

  • Image and asset optimization

Compression, modern formats, optimized fonts and prioritization of the main content.

  • Continuous monitoring

Real-user metrics collection and automated pipeline checks to prevent regressions.

Technologies and stack

We combine measurement tools with front-end and infrastructure engineering techniques:

  • Lighthouse
  • Web Vitals
  • Next.js
  • CDN
  • Edge Computing
  • Technical SEO
  • Schema.org
  • Google Search Console

How we work

  1. Measurement

We collect field and lab data and analyze the code bundle and current indexing.

  2. Diagnosis

We identify the causes of each problem and estimate the effort to fix them.

  3. Prioritization

We rank actions by impact and risk, together with your team.

  4. Implementation

We apply fixes in short cycles, validating each one in staging.

  5. Follow-up

We monitor indicators in production and add checks to prevent regressions.

Frequently asked questions

What are Core Web Vitals?

They are Google metrics that measure the real user experience of a page: LCP (time until the main content appears), INP (how quickly the page responds to interactions) and CLS (visual stability of the layout).

Does performance affect Google rankings?

Page experience is one of the signals Google considers, alongside content relevance. In addition, fast pages tend to retain more visitors, which matters regardless of rankings.

What is the difference between technical SEO and content SEO?

Technical SEO ensures that search engines can access, render and understand pages: speed, structure, metadata and indexing. Content SEO deals with what is written. Wisalo works on the technical side and delivers the foundation for content work.

Can a React application have good SEO?

Yes, as long as it uses the right rendering strategy. With server-side rendering or static generation, for example with Next.js, content reaches both the crawler and the user ready to use.

Do you guarantee the top position on Google?

No. Nobody can guarantee search engine rankings. What we do is remove technical barriers and make the site fast and well structured, with data-driven follow-up.

Do you optimize websites that were not built by Wisalo?

Yes. We assess existing websites and applications regardless of who built them, and apply the fixes together with the responsible team or directly in the code, as agreed.

Shall we talk about your project?

Tell us the context, goals and constraints of your challenge. A Wisalo specialist will get back to you with the next steps.
